Exciting News..

Well since it has been forever again since I blogged I figured I would update this. Since the last time I blogged so much exciting things have happened. I started my new job in the middle of August at Macys Fashion show at Impulse Cosmetics. So Im doing makeup and also selling makeup which is fun but the schedule has definetly be an adjustment for me. Ive never really been a night person and sometimes the babysitting is interesting. I mostly work at night and then on the weekends its always different. I was under the impression that I would not be working every Sunday so Im still working on that part and hopefully get that figured out soon so I dont have to always rely on people switching shifts with me.
We are holding our grand opening next weekend so that should be lots of fun because I have booked lots of friends that I dont get to see all the time. I love doing makeovers but after that weekend I might be burned out for a few days because I have to do atleast 25 appointments for 2 days. Anyhow enough about that....

I cant believe how big my little man is getting. In just 2 weeks he will be going to nursery!!! Yes I am counting because the last few months have been rough trying to get him to last during church. He is walking and getting in to everything and already says so much. He is just a snuggly sensitive guy which I love. I especially love when he see's me he wants to give me the biggest hug. I hope that part lasts.



Laynie has always been mature for her age but the things she says lately truely amaze me. She is such a smart girl and makes me so proud of her. She can write her name and count to 10 and so many other things. She loves playing with her brother and friends. She is such a good sister and that makes me so happy.


The other exciting news is that in just a few days my Matt is going to be 30!!! Holy cow where did the time go, its crazy to think that we have been together going on 8 years. I dont think it has hit him yet, but that is good because I think the two of us are very young at heart. He is my best friend and my eternal companion and Im so glad and thankful for him. We always have so much fun together, laughing and raising our family, and Im glad to say that after so many years. He is a good husband and a good father. He has been currently talking about a career change and I support him in whatever he chooses. I have planned a cute little date for us to go and celebrate which should be fun because we havent been on a date in 4 months!! I love you more and more each year babe!! and even though you are losing some of your hair you are still hot to me! Happy BIRTHDAY !!!

Baby Brielle Elizabeth Swallia born 7/27/2009 6lbs 11oz and what an adorable healthy baby girl. My sister Rachel did great and she is going to be a great mom. Im so excited for them and this little girl is going to be spoiled and cute! I was trying to get my sister to go into this nesting mode last week by making her do laundry and we did some shopping and some other stuff and what do ya know... she went into labor!

So Im not sure if anyone even reads this blog anymore but I guess thats not why Im doing it but here is a little update on what we have been doing lately. I am planning on starting my new job in the new next few weeks doing what I love. So Im super excited about that. I had an interview at MAC which has been a dream of myne to work there but it didnt work out but life goes on and this other job will be just as good.
I have been trying to just enjoy my time at home with the kids but sometimes it definetly is hard. My kids are getting so big and getting a mind of their own. They like to play with each other most of the time and they are the cutest little kids. Peyton is talking so much and walking ang gets into everything!! Laynie just loves dress up and playing with her friends and swimming.
Matt joined a hockey league a few months ago and is enjoying one of his nights off playing with the guys. He is just trying to figure out what direction he should go in with his career so he has some thinking to do.
Lots of things in our life right now are still up in the air but we are still being blessed and life is good!

So much exciting news!

So I have been meaning to get on here and blog but no one told me that since I have been a stay at home mom that I would be way bussier than when I was working! I have hardly had anytime to do anything on the computer.
There has been a lot going in the last month that if I didnt do this now I know I would start forgetting some of it. My baby sister Haley graduated high school with is crazy to me because I cant believe she is all grown up now. She is a beautiful young woman and I am so proud of her. (she just needs to meet a cute lds guy to date!)

Matt and I shared our 7th anniversary which was really nice to go on a date we had plans to go to melting pot but that was the day that they all closed down so we settled for cheesecake factory and went to a real cool show called The Mentalist.

I had my inlaws visiting for a week which was fun we got to do a lot of shopping and eat a lot of yummy food. I also took Laynie and myself to the circus. I have been trying to do something with just me and her lately so that she knows she hasnt been replaced.

I also threw my other sister Rachel a baby shower which turned out so cute! There were more people than I have ever seen in my house but Im glad my sister had a good turn out and got lots of fun stuff for her baby. I cant believe her little girl will be here in just a month. Im so excited for her, I have always been excited for my other nieces and nephews but because its my own sister I feel like I want to help do everything. I know Rachel will be a such a good mommy and the baby will be adorable.

I also got a new job! I dont want to give out too many details yet because I dont have them but I will say that I am so excited!! If everything works out the way I expect I will get to spend more time with my family and also do what I love. This will involve doing makeup!!

My last thing that is going to be keeping my busy for the next few weeks is my ebay store. I started doing this about a year ago where I would buy a lot of stuff for a cheap price then turn around and sell it to make a profit. I love shopping so this is perfect for me. I bought A LOT of stuff at victorias secret now im going to sell it. Its a little time consuming but the end result is so worth it.

Life is good for the most part. Spending time with kids is great and I have loved actually spending time with my husband which has never happened because we have always worked opposited. Im just trying to have a positive outlook on so many things in my life right now that are up in the air, but I have faith in knowing that it will all work out...

Happy 7th Anniversary!!!

Seven years have flown by and as I look back at it I'm so grateful that I made the right choice, found the right person, at the right time. Mandy has been such a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. I know that she has helped me to be the person I need to be and to become. She has been a great strength and good example. I just wanted to tell her how much I love, appreciate, and look forward to forever together. You are my everything. Love you babe!

Unemployed....

and relieved. Yes as crazy as it sounds I am relieved. For those of you who know I have been working at Ensign Federal Credit Union for 4.5 years and my employement ended yesterday. Yesterday felt almost surreal to me, like it hadnt quite sunk in yet. This morning it finally hit me when my alarm clock went off and I realized I didnt have anywhere to go. I feel like I need to blog about this because I have so much on my mind and this was a part of my life for quite a number of years.
I have become so close and made so many friends there, and have been through so many things with people that I felt so attached in different ways.
I will not miss the work at Ensign. I feel like I have been being "abused" and underappreciated as an employee for a few years. I really do take pride in my work and believe that I was a good employee but I refuse to be given ultimatums and be treated like I dont matter.
It will the hardest to not see one of my best friends Kimmy every day. We have worked together since I started and I have grown to love her because she has always been there for me when I needed her most. There are many other co workers who I will also miss. And as crazy as it sounds I feel like I have gotten close to so many members over the past few years that I will miss them too.
I really enjoyed trying to help people take on their finances and do different things with their lives to try and make it better. It is very fulfilling to see someones life change because of the help that you were able to give them.
Im not sure where to go from here... Im still processing it all in my head. I also believe that with prayer and the Lords help I will be directed where to go. In this bad economy it has been a blessing to help be a provider to my family with all of the things in my life being in limbo right now... BUT I know that things do happen for a reason. This may be a hard few weeks but I will get through and hopefully be happier. I get to sleep in hopefully and just be with my kids. Being with my family is what truely is important and what brings true happiness.
They say that in our life we wear different hats so for now I will be hanging up my hat or name badge and be moving on to something new and exciting.

Life is a Vacation..

No thats not right I JUST WISH it were a vacation. So Im finally getting to blog about my super fun family vacation. We were gone for a whole week! which was awesome only I had tons of stuff to get caught up on last week and I was just in a funk all week and just felt lazy. We spent the first part of the week with my family at Disneyland and relaxing at Newport Beach and we also went to see the Newport Beach temple which is absolutely amazing. It was so cute to see my kids at Disneyland. It was Laynies 4th B-day so she had fun wearing her princess hat and seeing all the princesses. Peyton loved all the rides that he rode as well as Ms Laynie. The other half of the week we rented a beach house with the Evans Family in Mission Beach that was just steps away from the sand!! It was nicer that we expected and we had a great time. We built sand castles, rode the beach cruisers, and just hung out and ate some good food. I attempted to have my sister do some family pics on the beach but the weather and my kids were not cooperating. Im hoping to make it a tradition every year to rent a beach house and just hang out and have a good time. Here are some pics from the trip. Enjoy!

This girl says the funniest stuff... Last night there was a little spider running across the tile and I told matt to kill it and then I told Laynie to do the girlie thing and if she ever see's a spider to run from it. So this was her response.
LAYNIE: "Mom the only spiders that bite are the one's who dont have a family and no one loves them."

haha I was laughing so hard when she said that I dont know where she comes up with this stuff.
