Prayer..

So Im really trying to be better about blogging so I dont forget all of the important things that happen in our family because I dont want to forget.

I know that we have all heard about the power of prayer but it was a certain recent experience that made me know how true that statement is.

A few weeks ago my middle sister Rachel called me as I was about to leave for work and told me that she could not move and that she needed help. So I called my mom who then told my sister to call an ambulance. She had been having problems with her hip and leg but nothing like this. An ambulance came and rushed her to the hospital and so she had to leave her 2 babies behind with the family. Brielle who is 2 and Analiese who is 6 months. My sister is such a good mom and spends every minute with her kids so I knew how hard this was going to be on her.
It took a lot of drugs to make Rachel relax so they could go in and xray her back and figure out what was going on and they found out that she had a pinched nerve which was pretty serious. I knew the kids were at my moms so right after work I headed over there with my kiddos to help her. The baby Analiese was not able to handle formula and didnt even know how to drink out of a bottle and my sister hadnt pumped so we had no milk on hand. The hours ticked on and we could not get this little girl to eat anything!! Its gives such anxiety to see a baby so upset because they are hungry and then to be taken away from their mother and not knowing what to do. It was now 10pm that night and the baby still hadnt eaten and we could not get her calmed down at all but i knew I had to head home with my kids. As I was leaving my heart was breaking for this baby who was just beside herself. As soon as I got home I put my kids in bed and I just remember praying for an answer as to what to do. Just then my phone rang and it was my best friend Jana and I had explained to her what was going on and she said another friend of ours Heather was still breastfeeding so she was going to call her to see if she could feed the baby. My phone rang again and it was Heather and she told me to just have my mom bring the baby over and she would feed her. My sister ended up having a back surgery that has forced her to be on somewhat of a bed rest for 6 wks. She cant pick up anything including her kids. We have all been taking turns helping her with household chores and the kids but I know its the hardest on my sister. Heather if you read this, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for your willingness to help. Your a special friend to my family and you will always hold a special place in our heart. What a kind thing to do for someone else especially at 11pm at night when you have 6 little ones at home.
I know that the Lord answered my prayer for help that night, and Im so grateful to have this gospel in my life to know that I can get down on my knees and ask for help with anything. I love this gospel and I love the lord. Im especially grateful to all those who have helped my family in this time of need.

and with that said... I will end with that.
Much Love
Mandy :)
