Happy One Week

Wow I cant believe that it has already been a week since little Peyton was brought into our lives. The time has really been flying by. He really is a good baby and has already brought so much happiness into our lives. Laynie is so good with her little brother and just wants to help with him. The day after I had him and came home from the hospital she told me that she had a baby come out of her belly and his name was Evan Evans.. haha she is so cute. I have to admit that it will be nice when he is a little older and he can actually get out of the house a little bit because sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in on me! After my 6 weeks of resting Im so going to the lake!! What can I say other than I love this little guy more than anything!

Peyton is HERE!!

So I am so excited to say that my little man finally made his arrival on Tuesday April 15,2008 at 10:50 am he was 7lbs 10 oz 19 inches long. The labor went a lot faster than I had expected but that is never a bad thing! It only took about 3 1/2 hours and I have to say it is much easier the second time around. I came home from the hospital yesterday and so I am just trying to adjust to everything still but so far it is going really well. He has been such a blessing and he hardly ever cries! I hope it lasts, but if it doesnt I will love him anyway. I think that he is so precious and his looks remind me so much of Laynie. I am so grateful that he made it into this world happy and healthy. Thank you to everyone for visiting and for your phone calls it made my day. I will have more pics to come but here are some for now.

The time has finally come....

I cant believe that I am finally saying this but there are no months or weeks left only 2 whole days... I have so many mixed feelings right now I am so anxious but yet a little nervous at the same time. I know I have said this so many times but I have waited for this day for what seems like forever. This last year has been hard on me because of the many personal trials and family trials that I have been through but amazingly the lord has blessed me and my testimony has grown leaps and bounds. At this same time last year I went through my second miscarriage and I think it is a little crazy that this little guy will be born only 2 days before the day that I found out last year. Having this baby has brought some much happiness and closure to those events in my life that I know the lord has continued to bless me. The last few weeks of pregnancy are always hard with the aching body, being exhausted, clothes not fitting, and what I love more than anything are the random comments! But I know that when I held Laynie for the first time I forgot about it all and it was all worth it and I know it will be the same when I finally hold Peyton. My life has truly been blessed with so many great things that I am so happy to have my husband who is my best friend and truely the love of my life, my daughter who amazes me everyday and my extended family who are always there for me no matter what. I am finally on maternity leave from work which Im sure will be missed but it is my time to be with my family. This blog was a little random but I guess thats what you get from a hormonal pregnant lady. haha

Not soon enough..

Here are some new pics the first one is of Laynie's new big girl hair cut! I love it and it is so adorable on her. It was time for her little mullet to go. She looked really nervous sitting in that big chair and I almost got a little teary eyed as we cut her hair but she loves it too! She is starting to look so grown up to me lately, its hard to watch them not be babies anymore!! The hair cut she has I actually had a few years ago and I love it and its making me want to cut myne I just dont know if I am ready yet since I have been growing it out forever.
This is my 37 1/2 week pic, I dont know how it can get any bigger because I am definetly out of room these days. I went to the doctor yesterday and nothing has really changed since last week. so I guess I will just have to wait for tax day. I know it will be worth the wait to have him here and be healthy. The other crazy pic is another one where my sister was getting creative. I love her but I dont know how she talks me into these things.
I cant complain to much because I only have one more week to work until maternity leave which im sure is going to go by fast. I am going to miss going to work because I seriously have some of the best co workers and it will be hard to not see them everyday!
I guess my hubby has started to notice my nesting as well and decided to help me out by cleaning the whole house today! It doesnt get any better than that. Life is good and yes it will be worth the wait.

wow I was 16 and that actually doesnt feel like that long ago so that is a good thing. I was a junior at Eldorado High school and I was doing normal teenage girl things.. haha I was sneaking out of the house at night, talking on the phone at all hours of the day, checking out the guys and I also played on a soccer league. I snuck out so much when I was 16 that I was grounded for the whole summer!!

Wow very unlikely that this would ever happen BUT if it did I am pretty sure I would pay off my house by that Infiniti FX35 I have always wanted, a new boat and new wardrobe for me and laynie and of coarse something fun for Matt. I would invest a lot of it because I have always been a saver and probably help my family out with there financial needs too.

Things people don't know about me...
I was born and raised in Las vegas, I met my hubby on lds singles and he is the first member I ever dated even though I was raised in the church, I secretly obsess about everything, I wanted to be a forensic scientist, I like punk rock music, If I could be any crayon I would probably pick white, I always had way more guy friends than girls and sometimes its still that way, I love to dance even though I am horrible at it, I love suspense movies, to hide my insecurities I try to make other people laugh, I love to watch hockey, I dont like cats, and lastly I wear my heart on my sleeve, I may come off as being cold at first but I really am sensitive and take things personally (all the time and probably to much).

Im starting to count the days....

So I guess you could say I have been a little busy this week. I took some days off at the beginning of the week to get some stuff done around the house and I probably did a little to much because I couldnt move the next day. But I managed to to get my hospital bag together, finish the stuff in the baby room (which still needs a few finishing touches) organized some things in the garage and did a candle party! It's good to be busy though because its making the time to go by faster. I only have around 2 weeks left which is a little overwhelming but so exciting at the same time. I went to the doctor this week and I am already starting to dilate and thin out so atleast the process is starting. My family thinks I have dropped and that the baby will come earlier but who knows... I guess when he is ready to come out he will if not tax day it is. Easter was fun to go to the ward picnic and watch Laynie pick the eggs, Sunday was nice to spend the day with family and have a nice dinner. I am so lucky to have a husband that has been so good with helping me get everything done lately and he has not complained at all! He really is a good guy I dont know what I would do without him. Well here are some pics the first ones are for my sister in law Erica who keeps saying she wants a side pic, the next are of the baby room and last is Laynie in her easter dress. Easter Belly!

Ok so who needs the easter bunny when you can have an easter belly? haha j/k my lil sister somehow talked me into letting her color my belly like an easter egg. yikes! But I guess its all in good fun. This last week has been very eventful I have a new nephew Cody James Sims and he was born on St Patricks day, and he is adorable, it was so exciting to hold him and know that in a few weeks I will be holding my little guy. Matt and I finally finished the baby room so I am going to have to post some pics and it turned out so cute. Since the countdown is at about 3 weeks I have been trying to get everything done and it seems as though there are not enough hours in the day or maybe its just that I want to go to bed at 8. I guess I am going through a nesting phase where I want to get everything done right now when I should be resting more. but... I will get more pics up this week until then Happy Easter!!!
