I cant believe....

that my little Tax Deduction is 1 today!!! Wow how the time flies. It is really hard to believe that it has been a year since my little man came into our lives. We celebrated his birthday last night with friends and family and it was lots of fun. I love my little guy so much he brings so much joy into my life. He is all boy and has shown me how different it is than having a girl.
I took him to his 1 year check up today and poor guy got a few shots but he weighs 21.8 lbs and I forgot the height (but he is short for his age big surprise I got jipped in that department myself). He has gotten so big it was hard to believe how little he was when I met him for the first time. Peyton doesnt walk yet but can cruise around the furniture and waves bye bye and gives high 5's. Im sure it wont be long because he gets into everything!!

I wrote a little note to Peyton to print out for his baby book.

Dear Peyton,
You really are one of the many loves of my life. You have brought me so much happiness and joy. You are my sweet sensitive guy. I hope it stays that way :). At times I was wondering if it was meant for me to have a 2nd baby, after having 2 miscarriages. But I must say that all the heartache and waiting was worth it the first time I felt your little kick in my belly and my heart melted the first time I saw your little face. You came into this world so quickly after only 3 hours of labor I was holding you in my arms, and you have been wanting to be on the go ever since. You are such a mama's man. I love that when I come home you have the biggest smile to see me. You are such a good friend to your sister and she loves you very much. You have the cutest smile I have ever seen that attracts complete total strangers. Daddy cant wait till you can get bigger so he can show all the cool boy stuff to do. I love you more than you will ever know.

Birthdays..Barf.. and Poo..oh my!!

so yes this title is so fitting for my life this last week or so.. We have had a lot of birthdays in the last two weeks, it was my brothers birthday the beginning of march then it was myne and then on St Patricks Day my nephew Cody turned 1. This years b-day for me was super fun. My hubby got me a spa package to Euphoria, and I got some new clothes from my Momma, and Tiffany got me ROCK BAND 2!! ( I have been wanting this forever). We had dinners at BJ's Brewery and my mom made me a delicious chocolate cake. It was a great night.. another highlight of this birthday was the poem that one of my longest best friends Jana had wrote for me on her blog. She is so creative and cute, I really enjoyed it, if you get a chance to her blog and read it.

Had to blow it out before the house caught on fire!!

Yes there has been a lot of barf at my house in the last week. Poor Laynie got the stomach flu in the middle of the night last saturday and was throwing up all day. When Sunday night came she started crying because she didnt get to go to church. Poor thing.
Then just when things started to look better last night Peyton had a blow out in his diaper in his highchair and I put him in the bath to clean him up and he starting barfing in the tub. Poor little man. Having sick kids is no fun. It will be just my luck that when they get better I will get it.
I can believe in less than a month my little man will be ONE!!!

Its going to be a long one..

so my Laynie says to me the other day "Mommy when I get bigger and bigger does that mean I am going to forget everything like you do?" haha I laughed pretty hard because I must be coming up on another birthday.

Ok so here goes I feel like i havent posted a real message on here in awhile and I am way over do. I should be sleeping right now but Its not that easy to get on here. I have a cold and I am working at Nascar all weekend with my sister so this is an official week with ZERO days off. Yikes, but the extra money is always nice.

I feel like I have been very productive this last month I finally sold the last of my Victorias Secret inventory on ebay, and I have moved on to my next ebay project.
We also sold the boat today!! Which is bitter sweet, it needed to happen but there were a lot of fun times on the boat.



My sweet husband was trying to make up for the lack on gifts for the last 2 valentines days in a row so this year he surprised me a suite at the Palazzo on the concierge level along with tickets to the show La Reve. It was so nice to go on a date together, we got engaged on val day, so it was a good reminder of why I fell in love with him from the beginning. Thanks you so much Matt!!

My lil Laynie started her ballet class again with her friend Hailey. It is so cute to watch her play with her new friend. She told me the other day that they would be friends forever. I thought it was adorable. Im glad that she has someone that she can get her energy out with.


Mr Peyton is standing up to everything and I dont think it will be long before he was walking everywhere. He also is getting his top teeth I guess the better to eat his birthday cake with. Its hard to believe that it has been almost a year. Wow how time flies.



Rachel (my sister) gets to find out what the baby is this week and I am so excited for her and Chris. I know she will be a good mom.

I am so grateful for my mom, she is such a blessing at times. Lately I have been working so much along with Matt that she was always been there to watch my kids and help me out. She does not complain but truely enjoys the time with them. I love you MOM.

Life seems to be throwing a lot of wrenches at me lately, but I have managed to keep on truckin and try to keep smiling. At times I feel like I am at my breaking point but then I look at all of my blessings and somehow it makes it all feel better. I am so blessed and I know that the lord loves me and everything happens for a reason. I love my family, and it will all work out the way it is supposed to. Until then I guess I should probably go to bed....

So much to catch up on...

Wow it feels like forever since I have blogged but so much has been happening and I havent had the time or been able to stay awake at night to do this. So this is long over do and I feel like I have a lot on my mind right now.

We were able to take a fun little trip to California for a few days which was nice to get away. It was fun to get the cousins together because they dont see each other often. Laynie and her cousing Aubryn (they are only hours apart) had their first sleep over which was super cute. I had fun visiting everyone and doing a little shopping of coarse.

I cant believe my little Peyton is going to 10 months in a few days.. I feel like the time has just flown by. He really is a mommas boy which I love. It is nice when he only wants me sometimes. It doesnt matter what kind of day I am having one little smile from that guy and he melts my heart.

My Laynie is getting so big and sometimes I feel like she is 3 going on 30. She reminds me of myself as a kid so grown up for her age. She says the funniest things. We are getting ready to sign her up for ballet and gymnastics again.

I am trying to hang in there my stress level is at an all time high but I know that there is a light at the end of tunnel and it will get better. I have the love of my life, 2 beautiful kids, the gospel and a roof over my head so life is not that bad. I am back on the wagon for weight watchers and we are doing BIGGEST LOSER at work so watch out because nothing to motivate to get the rest of this baby weight off like $$$$.

Lastly I have some bad news my cousin Kyle Sims passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. It was very hard to say goodbye to him because he was so young and was leaving a wife and his son behind but I know that he will not be in pain anymore. For those of you who had a chance to know him know that he will be missed. He was like no other. May the lord be with you Kyle.. we love you

CALEE-FOORNN-YAA!!!

Well we just got back from our trip to California. It was a fun one, filled with lots of good food and great company. We were able to see Grandpa & Grandma Callahan at the lake, hit the golf course with Nate and Dad, and even through a few pitches which I haven't done for years. We even "tried" to play basketball, which made me understand why I never tried to play. Dad kept on saying, "Man, you guys suck at sports!" "Only sport your guys were good at was rollerhockey!" I got a few pitches over the mound, Nate did better than me, and Jean-Ann even threw a few.

Mandy was able to get in her shopping with the sis-n-laws (Liz, Erica, & Jean-Ann) and Laynie even had a sleep over with Aubryn which was pretty cool. Larry beat me with his I.Q. and Dad even tried to get struck by lightening while we were playing golf. I did shoot a 39 (par 46) on the put course.

We were able to celebrate Mom's 59th birthday singing the birthday song perfectly in tune. And at the end I even had a full plate of nacho's loaded with jalapenos! (Not always a good idea when your about to fly.) I'm glad that we were able to spend time with the family and enjoy one anothers company. I'm thankful for the efforts made so that we could share the time together. As Dad said, "The most important thing you have in life is your "time" and how you spend it means a lot to me!"

happy new year.. oh wait...

so I'm a little late at getting this out but what can I say things have been crazy this last month.
First I want to tell my hubby thanks for the cute blog you really are the light of my life, I dont know what I would do with out you sometimes.
Im going to be an aunt to my very own sister!!! Congrats Rachel and Chris!! Im so excited for you, I dont know why it feels so different when its your sister that is preggie :)
I dont know where to start but I want to say that it was a wonderful christmas holiday filled with lots of good food and good company. This christmas was different than others in the past. Maybe it is because I have kids of my own and my heart just explodes when I see how happy the little things make them such as christmas lights outside or sitting on santa's lap, or even reading the nativity story.
We even had a christmas party at our house this year complete with a white elephant gift exchange which was loads of fun, im thinking of making it a tradition. For Christmas Matt and I are both proud Ipod owners, although he got me a better one that I got him (he always has to out do me). Laynie got a new Barbie house which she loves and lots of other toys along with her brother Peyton. They really are blessed to have such generous people around them.
Our family was able to take a vacation after Christmas to Brianhead with my family. It was much needed to get awhile for a few days. The weather was quite perfect for skiing. My skiing ability is not the greatest considering it has been about 3 years. Matt and my sister decided to take me down a black diamond slope!! against my will of course, and forgetting how scared of heights I am. Then he gets mad at me when I decide to slide down instead of ski!! It was a fun time with a few face plants in the snow and some sore legs the next few days. New years eve was pretty uneventful I stayed home and enjoyed the peace and quiet, while my hubby was working on the strip with all the crazy folks.
I have quite a few new years resolutions this year and I am a little worried about what this new year will bring with so much change going on in the world. I do know that I can only continue to try and better myself each day and try to be a good person. I can't control what happens around me but I can control me and I think I am okay with that. so with that said here are a few of my new years resolutions:
1. Loose the last 10 lbs (but 15lbs would be even better)
2. Work out 3x a week
3. Read BOM by end of the year
4. Learn a new skill
5. Try to go shopping less and save more
