My Christmas Surprise

I love my hubby more than anything but this christmas I was SOOOO surprised by the present that I received from him that it made me realize one of the reasons why I love him so much. In the beginning of December I had went to the mall to show Laynie Santa and since Zales was right across the way I went in to look around. I found this band to go with my wedding band that fit perfectly! I didnt think I would be getting it anytime soon I took the business card and put it in my purse. Well about a week before x-mas Matt started joking with me that he got me a video camera which I thought was strange because we already have a nice one.. but there was a heavy box under the tree with my name on it. Normally I would try to shake it but it was just TOO HEAVY. Well Christmas morning came and I started to unwrap it to find that it was not a camera at all it was a box with old sunday school manuals, my scriptures, a screwdriver a wrench and who knows what else in it.. but there at the bottom was the little black box from Zales. I opened it and there it was the ring I had picked. So here is the end result!

Well here are the long awaited belly pics.. I havent put any on here before because it seems as if it just grew like double the size in the last 2 weeks, or as my brother says its called bigbellyitis. I love this little guy so much and after all I have been through this year I didnt know if he would ever get here. Through so much heartache I have been rewarded with so much happiness. I am so thankful for every kick that he makes and I cant wait to see his little face. I think the name that we have decided on is Peyton Aaron Evans. The belly seems big to me but for being 5 1/2 months I cant complain to much because I am still wearing most of my non-preggie clothes. My goal is to NOT gain 50 pounds like I did with Laynie! I guess as long as the little guy is healthy that is all that matters. I will put more pics up as he gets bigger.. and me too!

1. I am OCD about how clean my house has to be. I dont think like handprints on the fridge, table etc. I love to see vacuum lines in the carpet and the smell of pine sol is actually quite nice.
2. I have a degree in criminal justice because I wanted to a forensic psychologist before I met my husband. I need to actually finish the rest of it one day when I have time.
3. I love cherry anything. Cherry icecream, cherry chapstick, cherry candles.. etc. etc.
4. I was the editor of my highschool newspaper which is actually kind of nerdy but I enjoyed it a lot. I won a few awards too!
5. A nice hot bath has to be my favorite thing to do to relax after a long day. What can I say there is nothing like it.
6. I met my husband on ldssingles.com which now is fine but 6 years ago this could have been considered really weird. But here we are 6 years later still together.

Tis The Season

I was reminded this past weekend after going shopping on Black friday at 4am with all the other crazy people that the real meaning of Christmas seems to always get swept under the rug in my family with all the last minute shopping and running around. On Saturday I went to St. George for the day and got to see the temple at night with the nativity and I felt the spirit so strong that I was quickly reminded that the season is not about shopping! I love Christmas but not for all the reasons that are important so this year I am hoping to change that!

Its A Boy!!

So we found out last week that the baby is a boy! I didnt know that we were finding out when I went it because I am a soooo clumsy I had to go in on a last minute type thing). Matt is on cloud nine right now to not be the only guy in the house anymore. I am excited too but it will be hard to adjust to a little boy since Laynie is so much like myself and loves clothes and shopping. It is amazing how you can already love this growing person so much! I cant wait to meet him. Well this is a pic of me at 4 months not really a big belly yet but I am sure that it is coming!
